First vaccination shot received this morning; so far, I'm just feeling sore in that arm. It wasn't even a painful needle, really. It was pretty efficient, given how many people they were running through - I'm assuming that the issue of having to thaw and then very quickly use the doses has an impact there? Kind of felt like there were too many people in narrow, poorly ventilated hallways, but the workers had the routine down.

Marginally upsetting, how the lobby and ground floor of our usual health central has been roughly converted with temporary walls and signs guiding now to blocked hallways or empty spaces. Looks too much and too little like the space where I went in preggo, with babies, getting blood taken, all that routine stuff that signposts...sheesh, 9 years in a neighborhood? A lifetime of disaster movies and tv gave that change a low-grade sense of oh noes throughout. It's just this step, right now.

There were old folk there, but few really elderly. Others closer to my age...looked up the current schedule by groups and I guess I'm Group 6, 16-64 with chronic health conditions, Feb - March...so it wasn't a mistake I was called in. Still feel bad to be so far ahead in the queue, when I can work from home, and people who have to be on site and public transportation will be without any reduced risk until May, June, July...

Ah well. On the somewhat more cheerful side, I've been amused to get this just as we changed to the anti-allergy diet and was going to feel most of the potential side effects anyway. Multitasking!
