I usually walk early, before logging in to work; am always surprised on the weekends how busy the sidewalks are later in the day. And worse, people tend to follow you - not out of any maliciousness, usually, but just because everyone's bored to death with their everyday paths and you might be going somewhere different. Interesting.

The House of Phoenix Cultural Complex made me sad...dead plants and curled books faded down to blue shadows. Already looks post-apocalyptic.

Walked down to the riverside from there; not a popular spot for mudlarking, as not much interesting washes up along this stretch (so I've read). Four people followed me: one couple, and man, and a woman. The woman asked me, as if I look like someone who'd know, "Is it safe? Will the tide cut us off?"
"Low tide was at 10," I told them, because I did, in fact, know. "You should be okay for a while."
I only learned about the river's tides (and downloaded the app) yesterday; how did my metatags update so quickly?
