Also, I cannot seem to get my head around Dreamwidth's cut-text function. Yep, I've read this. It...still...I...urgh. I do manage to end up with hidden text, but not without cursing at the html tab several times and crossing my fingers while punching "post".

The rich text editor doesn't always do well with cut tags, especially if there's other HTML formatting inside them. Just do it manually.

Aaah, I do tend to muck about with little bits of html inside cuts - maybe that's what's been throwing it off. Thanks for the tip!
